Woohoo - my 2nd book is now out in paperback!

Welcome to my blog for this week's Saturday Spankings! 

 #SatSpanks is where authors share 8 sentences of their work. This week, because Blushing Books has just released my second book as a paperback, I'm sharing Rachel's Journey. 
This book is very close to my heart for two reasons - the first is, Rachel, my heroine, has Tourette's Syndrome, just like me. Secondly, this novel is set down here in Southland, NZ, at the bottom of the world where I live. The background on the cover reflects the area I live very well.

Rachel was such a loser. Growing up with Tourette's Syndrome has taught her that. Who could possibly want someone who contorted their faces in bizarre twitches or snorted at random? Not even Mike, the man who had promised he loved her, had been able to put up with it. She broke up with him when she caught him cheating on her during their great overseas experience, promptly flying back home to hide and lick her wounds.

James was the manager for the 850 acre farm she and her brother Simon had inherited. She liked James. He'd always treated her nicely, like an honorary little sister, and she'd had a crush on him forever. Not that she could ever tell him. She wasn't going to set herself up for rejection ever again.

But when it seems that someone is out to harm her, can she count on James to come to her rescue?

“Yeowch!” Rachel shrieked. “I’m sorry James!” she yelled, as his hand landed four more times in quick succession. “Please stop … I’m sorry! Truly I am!” He ignored her and continued to spank her hard, putting real effort into making her butt burn.

       

Rachel squealed and squirmed and pleaded with James to stop, and the battle she was waging against her tears was getting closer to being lost with each additional stinging spank that landed on her upturned bottom.
