Welcome to my blog for  #WipItUpWednesday! My new release  Daddy Takes the Reins  is a book that's pretty close to my heart for several reasons. First, I've got Tourette's Syndrome, just like my heroine, Bianca. The experiences she goes through due to her tics are similar to things I have gone through myself. Second, I'm passionate about horses, and the incredible healing a powerful bond with a horse can bring. A few years ago, I was a volunteer for Riding for the Disabled and it was so rewarding, seeing the kids come alive in the saddle, communicating with their favourite horses in their own special way. Third, this book is set in New Zealand. I'm pretty proud of my country, and think it's a great place to live and raise a family. This week, because Blushing Books has just released my second book as a paperback, I'm sharing  Rachel's Journey .  This book is very close to my heart for two reasons - the first is, Rachel, my heroine, has Tourette's Syndrome, just like me. Secondly, this novel is set down here in Southland, NZ, at the bottom of the world where I live. The background on the cover reflects the area I live very well. Rachel was such a loser. Growing up with Tourette's Syndrome has taught her that. Who could possibly want someone who contorted their faces in bizarre twitches or snorted at random? Yes, you read it right ... Tourette's Syndrome. What can possibly be interesting about Tourette's Syndrome I hear you ask? Well the truth is, probably nothing. But seeing as how this is the  June A-Z of Spanking Challenge  and I couldn't think of anything else that started with T, and the heroine in my recent release, Rachel's Journey,  has Tourette's Syndrome, I thought it was as good a subject as any.
