#SatSpanks ~ My First Cowboy

Image
For  Saturday Spankings  this week, I'm sharing my second book,  Rachel's Journey  - featuring my first cowboy, James.   My sexy cowboy graces the cover:  You can buy a copy of him here:  Blushing Books          Amazon          Barnes & Noble “Maybe I need therapy. Hey I should ask Kara for help! She’s nearly finished her Masters in Applied Psychology, she’s bound to have some ideas!” “Applied Psychology, huh?” James pondered that idea for a moment, rubbing his chin with his thumb. “How about my version of Applied Psychology? I’ll apply my hand to your butt until you change your attitude. Reckon that will work?” “No.” Rachel was adamant. “It won’t. And don’t you even think of trying it!”  And just because I like cowboys, here's a couple that are good to look at: (I stole them off  Pinterest  - my go-to place for procrastinating!) ...

#SatSpanks ~ Rachel's Journey

Image
It's  Saturday Spankings  time again! I haven't done this blog hop in ages, but it's so much fun to do, and I love reading all the other hot excerpts too. It's good to be back! As pretty much everyone who's ever had anything to do with me knows, I have Tourette's Syndrome. It's really bad at the moment, so in honour (that's the wrong word but I can't think of the right one) of my tics, I'm sharing my second book -  Rachel's Journey  with you all. Amazon         Blushing Books “Are you done being naughty now, or should I give you another crack with that spatula over there?” James asked, indicating at the mean-looking black plastic spatula with holes in it that was standing up in the crock on the bench with the other kitchen utensils. The twinkle in his playful eyes was back, and as he met Rachel’s eyes he broke into a grin.              “You wouldn’t dare!” she decl...

Woohoo - my 2nd book is now out in paperback!

Image
Welcome to my blog for this week's  Saturday Spankings !   #SatSpanks is where authors share 8 sentences of their work. This week, because Blushing Books has just released my second book as a paperback, I'm sharing  Rachel's Journey .  This book is very close to my heart for two reasons - the first is, Rachel, my heroine, has Tourette's Syndrome, just like me. Secondly, this novel is set down here in Southland, NZ, at the bottom of the world where I live. The background on the cover reflects the area I live very well. Rachel was such a loser. Growing up with Tourette's Syndrome has taught her that. Who could possibly want someone who contorted their faces in bizarre twitches or snorted at random? Not even Mike, the man who had promised he loved her, had been able to put up with it. She broke up with him when she caught him cheating on her during their great overseas experience, promptly flying back home to hide and lick her wounds. James was the m...

James and Rachel are back for more Saturday Spankings!

Image
Here's 8 sentences out of my recent release Rachel's Journey : My god he’s gorgeous! s he thought as she took him in. His wild, untamed hair was falling in his eyes, his blue checked shirt displayed the broadness of his shoulders to perfection and clung to the muscles in his arms. His stained jeans showed off his long, lean legs, and he’d obviously shaved in the shower last night revealing the square-cut, masculine line of his jaw.             “Coffee?” he asked, flicking on the kettle.              “Please.” Rachel nodded, still unable to take her eyes off him. She’d known James forever, but every time she looked at him it seemed he’d gotten sexier and sexier.  He used to keep his hair shorter with his curls chopped off, but she liked it much better now. It gave him an untamed, slightly wild look, and his smouldering dark eyes were dangerously s...

SATURDAY SPANKINGS *RACHEL'S JOURNEY*

Image
Welcome to my blog for this week's  Saturday Spankings !  I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July! Here in New Zealand we don't celebrate it (obviously) so it's just like any other day for us. But ... I'm celebrating the fact that it's the late Eric Fleming's 90th birthday today - if you don't know who he is he played Trail Boss Gil Favor in Rawhide.                                   But that was just a random piece of useless trivia. My blog post today has nothing to do with either Eric Fleming or Rawhide  - today I'm sharing another 8 sentences from my recent release Rachel's Journey ! James pulled her into his arms and wrapped her in a hug again.  Then he dropped his face to hers and kissed her full on the lips.  It was just a gentle kiss at first, but Rachel responded immediately, putting one hand on the side of his face and her other ...

Y is for Yards

Image
Sheep yards, to be precise. Which, at first glance, has nothing to do with spankings. But read on - James swats Rachel at the sheep yards in my new release Rachel's Journey : Welcome to my blog for the second-to-last post in the  #SpankA2Z June Challenge  combined with  Saturday Spankings! In this snippet, Rachel and James are both working in the yards, drafting the lambs from the ewes, for weaning. Too busy ogling James muscular body framed by his singlet to concentrate, Rachel jams her wrist in the chute: James leapt over the railings in the yards and was by her side in an instant, picking up her wrist and examining it gently. “It needs ice,” he told her. “It’s starting to swell. Go home and put some ice on it, I’ll be up for smoko soon.”           “Nah I’ll be okay, it’s not too bad.”           “You’re a terrible liar, Rachel. Go home and get some ice....

U is for UNDERWEAR!!!

Image
Underwear is so important in a spanking scene. Do they get left on or taken off? Up or down? Are they sexy, sheer, lacey knickers, a matching lingerie set or manky old granny-undies that were a last resort because Mt. Washmore is in the laundry? Whatever the underwear, they have a place in spanking fiction. Click  here  to find the #SpankA2Z June Challenge blog Here's a snippet from my new release Rachel's Journey : After one final hefty spank, he stopped and sat her up in front of him. “Of course I care. You know I care. But we have to leave it to the Police. If he had an alibi, then he had an alibi and there’s nothing we can do.” James smiled at her, trying to comfort her.                  Rachel looked devastated. “But it’s not fair! He’s going to get off scot-free!” She stood up then, hauling her trackies back up into position and rubbing her sore butt.  “What are you s...

T is for Tourette's Syndrome

Image
Yes, you read it right ... Tourette's Syndrome. What can possibly be interesting about Tourette's Syndrome I hear you ask? Well the truth is, probably nothing. But seeing as how this is the  June A-Z of Spanking Challenge  and I couldn't think of anything else that started with T, and the heroine in my recent release, Rachel's Journey,  has Tourette's Syndrome, I thought it was as good a subject as any. I posted this article on Google+ ages ago, so if you've already read it on there, nothing has changed - this is the same article. You'll probably want to hop along to someone else's blog, using the link below. Otherwise, read on, for some insight into daily life with this genetic neurological disorder. Disclaimer: Tourette's affects everyone differently. The experience I share below is my own, and is probably not the same for anyone else who has Tourette's. Like Rachel, the girl in my recently-released book Rachel's Journey I hav...

R is for RURAL ROMANCE!

Image
Welcome to my blog! I'm doing the  #SpankA2Z June Challenge  and today I'm up to R.  Did anyone notice I missed out Q? Honestly, what kind of word begins with Q? Rural Romance is probably my favourite genre to read. I don't know how popular it is in other countries but here in NZ, Australian Rural Romance is well-loved. Here are a few of my favourites: (you can find more on my Pinterest board  here )         These 3 rural wome n are mums themselves, so I find them inspiring - if they can do it, so can I! And of course, there's my very own Rachel's Journey -a rural romance with a difference! Not only is it set in New Zealand, but it contains spankings! LOTS of spankings! And a wee bit of hotness too :) If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for? Pick up your copy below: Buy from Amazon Buy from Blushing Books Buy from Barnes & Noble The other participants in this challenge can be found b...

M is for MOTORBIKE

Image
I'm doing another double blo g-hop post today - the  #SpankA2Z June Challenge  and  Saturday Spankings ! M is for MOTORBIKE. I love motorbikes - and the bad boys who ride them. I first fell in love with my husband because his motorbike caught my eye :) I've got a different use for a motorbike though, in my brand new release Rachel's Journey Unfortunately for Rachel, the scene below is not a happy, romantic one like the picture above shows. She thought it was a good idea to use a dangerous chainsaw. James has her bent over the back of the motorbike and is showing her that it wasn't ...   “Bend over,” James growled, pushing her back down over the bike, flicking her thighs with the belt to make her spread her legs wider apart so her bottom was presented properly for his belt.  When she was in position he rested his hand lightly on the small of her back again and she took comfort in it. It just rested there lightly, it wasn’t holding her; if ...

J is for JAMES, JEREMY & JOHNNY

Image
the names of my heroes. I'm cheating today, I'm doing a double blop-hop with the one post, I hope that's not breaking any rules :) Welcome to my blog for both  #WIPITUP Wednesday  and  #SpankA2Z  featuring J for James, Jeremy & Johnny! I like names that start with J. Don't ask me why, I don't know. But as well as having two sons both of whom start with J, my heroes all start with J too. Jeremy was the hero in Bracken Ridge  my debut novel.  J ames is the hero in my brand new release Rachel's Journey, and Johnny is the hero in my current WIP. And here is a snippet out of my new release:  This is just after the first time James spanked Rachel. As Rachel carried on with her day her thoughts kept returning to James and the spanking he’d given her. She was surprised he’d carried through with this threat – she really didn’t think he had it in him.   She’d been convinced that if he had decided to follow through and s...
